"tasty and healthy water"2010-04-27 By Carla Macleod I love this. Quick and easy install that even the "non-handyman" types (like me) can do. Makes me feel a lot better about the water I am drinking. I'm also more aware of the need to drink water, as this is a symbol of that that I can see every time I walk by faucet. Has definitely helped me to make positive changes in my life as far as keeping hydrated. :) I've also saved a lot of money on bottled water.
"Great little filter!"2010-04-24 By J. Rychlik (Youngstown, NY) This is a great little filter. Not big and bulky like the PUR filter I had before the Culligan. The only thing that threw me off a bit when I received it was the Mnfg. date on the box. It said 2003. Somebody somewhere must have bought a whole sh_t load of these things and had trouble getting rid of them for awhile. I don't know what the life span for the filter element is. Seven years seems like a long time to me! But it does take the chlorine smell out of my water and makes it taste clean.
"Very Nice Faucet Water Filter"2010-04-19 By Pro Excellence (Rocky Mount, NC) Purchased this faucet filter device in November 2009 after growing tired of buying and transporting drinking water. Overall I feel it is an outstanding product. It is relatively easy to install--able to do it myself, although manufacturer's directions not very clear. I like that it does not leak. It is compact and non-intrusive. The taste of the water is comparable to brands that I bought in past. There are a few things I feel could be improved, however: the water flow from filter is narrow and slow; the stem that activates filtered water does not always retract on its own; and the device does not indicate when it is time to replace the filter. Otherwise, I highly recommend this product.
"Great product!"2010-04-17 By A. Slaughter (California) As other reviewers have mentioned, I too was one of those that thought faucet mounted filters are just not built to last and it was normal to replace the entire contraption after a few months. That was until I read the reviews for the Culligan Faucet Filter and decided to give it a try. I've had it almost a year now and there no cracks or leaks whatsoever!!! The only thing that doesn't work anymore is the little button that's suppose to automatically turn itself off from filtered water back to non-filtered when the water is turned off (which is why I gave it only 4 stars instead of 5). But to me, that's no biggie. I just push the pin back in myself. The water tastes great! No sediments in the water. Would definitely recommend.
"Avoid this"2010-04-14 By Some Guy Was shipped quick - screwed on in seconds... didn't work. Filter cartridge was blocked - didn't even let air pass through. Ended up tossing it, what a waste.

"Great value"2010-04-24 By Paul Austin Ardoin (Sacramento area, CA USA) We replaced bottled water service for our house with this Culligan water system. It took about 2 hours to install (we had to drill an extra hole in our sink), but ever since it's been installed, we've had nothing but good experiences with it. After reading some of the other reviews, I figured we'd want to replace the top eventually, but it looks much better than I expected. My only nitpick is that the water flow is a bit slow, but not enough for me to dock the system a star. It's saved us over $200 in the first 8 months we've had it.
"Good Filter...The rest is junk."2010-03-12 By Kenneth W. Fortin (Broken Arrow,OK,USA) Came missing one of the plastic connectors..No big deal as you would eventually regret installing this thing with the laughable parts sent with it..Went to the big box store and bought copper compression connectors and a decent metal water dispenser..Also bought an in line copper valve to regulate the water pressure to the filter head as I really don't trust the push in and hope it locks hose fittings to the head. Water tastes fine and even better I can sleep without one ear open, waiting for that awful hissing sound of a broken water connection.
"Good filtration, I guess"2010-02-18 By Big Red (Spring, Texas) Based on the testing standards this filter is very good and the water tastes fine and it works well. The only thing that we don't like about it is the cheap water spout. The thing is so cheap and worthless that Culligan would be better off if they just lowered the price and left the faucet out of the package.
"Great Water"2010-02-06 By Bert Feddeck (Slidell, LA) Filter arrived as advertised. It was very easy to install. I did need to drill an extra hole in the sink because we have a soap dispenser. Plumbing was easy and all the needed fittings were supplied. The filter had a battery taped to it and no explanation in the instructions what to do with it. After some investigation I found a holder for it in the base of the faucet. I guess this is a reminder light for filter changes. The water taste great and so far no leaks or problems.
"Great tasting, convenient, but slow flowing"2010-01-30 By Nathanael R. Siders This is a really nice product. The water tastes great after being filtered through this system. We have extremely hard water where we live and after being filtered through this system, the water tastes better than any bottled water you'll find. We also hated the large units that attach to the faucet and this unit is very much less obtrusive and looks fancy by having a dedicated drinking faucet.
My only complaint would be how slow the water comes out of this unit. I would say it takes about 15 seconds to fill a glass of water. Now that's not long enough to be a complete nuisance, but just long enough to be a little annoying. Overall though, I'm happy with the unit, though if buying again, I might consider a unit that just filters all of the water coming from my main faucet.
The Countertop Superior Water Filter is a great value, designed for chlorine treated water supplies - provides excellent filtration at an affordable price. Outstanding performance using a KX industries carbon block to filter down to 1.0 microns and filters chlorine taste and odor, sediment, rust, and particulate matter for sweet, clear, great-tasting water. The long lasting carbon block_replaceable water filter - included - provides 2,500 Gallons of great tasting, crystal clear water. That's about 3 cents per gallon without lugging bottles around! We recommend annual replacement of the water filter cartridges. Installs in minutes. Housing wrench & faucet adapters included. Poor water quality may reduce lifespan of filters.

"sweet water"2010-04-16 By D. Chen (NJ) Sweet water!
1) It looks like I got an old model. The one I bought just last week had all white shell case, like in old photo. Now the product photo showing a transparent case. It looks way cooler than my all white case. I wish I had waited a week longer!
2) Small trouble installing: Unlike my old paragon filter which I was able to hand tighten (with rubber glove assist) the diverter, this one would keep spurting water over the sides until I finally dug out my old slip wrench and tightened it all the way up with old fashioned steel + muscle.
"A fine filter!"2010-04-08 By Earl G (New England) I bought this filter to remove the chlorine odor and off-taste from my municipal water supply and it hasn't disappointed: the water smells and tastes great. The filter itself is simple, attractive, doesn't leak, and the diverter valve works as claimed. They even included a plastic wrench-like device to help unscrew the housing when it comes time to replace the filter. I did have to get an adapter at the local hardware store to attach the diverter assembly to the water tap, but that is standard procedure for attaching devices like this to old faucets like mine. I am happy with the unit, and recommend it to anyone who wants to improve the quality of their tap water. This filter will not remove toxic chemicals or biological contaminants, but it works great for what it is meant to do: make your municipal water supply not just palatable, but enjoyable to drink, and at a very reasonable cost.
"Another Best Bang per Buck!"2010-03-17 By Oldtechnohobbiest (Tennessee) Just got mine in a few days ago, I had to wait until now because the adaptors didn't come with it and it took this long for me to get them--they came free from [...].
First, let me say, the Discription at the top of this page says to change filters anually, (that's every twelve months). Some of the reviewers said six months. The instructions say every three months. (maybe they are thinking you got some really 'bad' water?).
Second, The instructions were a little 'lite', so I e-mailed them and got all my questions answered within 12hrs. The instructions had easy to understand drawings (that looked incorrect to me--that's why I e-mailed them. Here is the information I got.
1. On the filter, unroll the foam wrap. 2. Open and remove the clear plastic wrap. 3. Set the filter onto the 'tube' at the bottom of the unit--screw the lid on. 4. You're done--it's ready to attach to the sink water supply.
So, why was oldtechno scratching his head about this? Well, the draws showed both 'end-caps' missing when installing the filter. It didn't make sense--but that's what the drawing showed. Futher, it showed the water seals missing and the plastic/string woven wrap missing--that really didn't make sense either. Sooo, all you got to do is follow my 1-4 instructions....no sweat!
Another good point about this great low-cost buy, the filter is not 1 micron--it's .5 microns (twice as good...maybe introductory sale?).
Microns--just how small is that? Well, years ago I was an amatuer astronomer--when the proffesionals couldn't get that little spider to weave its' silk web into a cross hair on their spotter scopes they would use Dental Floss.
Dental floss is a string. It is woven from many smaller 'strings'. If you take a piece of dental floss, unravel it to it's smallest-- almost microscopic--string you will find it is almost invisible. That smallest piece is 7 microns. The particles this filter can catch are more than 70X smaller.
Futher; as I remember my schooling in the military...most germs and almost all protozoids are bigger than .5 microns. (virus type bacteria are some times a lot smaller).
Finally; All in all, if you've got treated water or well water, I recommend this as an additional layer of defense against 'bad' water.
I like mine, sets up in a couple of minutes--no kidding. If you have the doe-ray-me I'd get a couple extra filters while they are cheap. I recommend you not unwrap them until you are going to use them. Try to keep them out of humid enviroments (kitchen). Don't run hot water through it. Easy to use.
"Good Filter"2010-02-19 By Saba gal (Raytown MO) The filter came very quickly from the dealer. 1. The filter diverter has good flow just from the faucet and does not slow the water down so it is faster to fill the sink when dished have to be washed 2. The filter adapter does not lower the faucet outlet like the faucet filters we used to have 3. The filtered water has a good flow and tastes good. There is some filtered water flow when the faucet is turned off, but that is to be expected since there is still some pressure in the filter system 4. The standard 10" filter is a lot less expensive than the proprietary filters from Brita, Pur, etc. 5. The filter will last a lot longer than the filters from the ones listed above therefore lowering the cost of filtering water 6. We replaced a faucet mount Brita filter that kept falling off of the faucet using the supplied adapter
Overall, we are pleased with this filter and the dealer we bought it from
"Works so far, no problem."2010-02-05 By B. Liao (USA) This replaces the need to buy bottle water. I use it for cooking and drinking. No leakage at all. I had to run 20 min before 1st use, after that water taste good. After you turn the faucet off, you will still get some water running for 10 sec, it is okay I had the tip over the sink. I wish it was stainless steel. Good value, if you change the filter yearly instead buying the whole thing.

"Skeptic Turned Believer (I think)"2010-04-26 By M. Downey (SoCal, USA) I spent several months reading different websites before trying this. I wasn't sure it would do any good, but after going to the NIH site and seeing their study I figured it wouldn't do any harm if used cautiously. I started with the recommended low doses ... 2 drops, 4, 6, then 8. Had some "D" with 8 so backed off to 7. Moved up to 9 drops after that with no problem. I'm only taking it a couple times a week and was unsure of any clear benefit until last week.
Out of the blue, I woke up with a horrible croupy cough. I hacked and hacked for several hours and worried that I was coming down with yet another case of bronchitis. I've had pneumonia several times and always worry when symptoms like that hit so hard and fast. Then it dawned on me it had probably been a couple weeks since I'd had any MMS. I mixed 9 drops with the activator, waited 3 minutes, then filled my glass with 1/2 cranberry juice and 1/2 water, quickly drank it all, and went to rest in bed. About a hour later I woke and realized that I'd fallen asleep. Not only was my cough gone, I didn't feel like I was getting sick anymore. Of course, I'll want to experience something like this again before I can say more confidently that my recovery was due primarily to the MMS, but at this point I don't really have another theory.
"GREAT STUFF!"2010-03-26 By Skuldsurfer (CORONADO, CA United States) I had a bad case of the flu & my neighbor gave me some MMS to try. Within a few hours my fever broke & I stopped vomiting. I'm now taking this everyday & I think it's even helping with my Fibromyalgia & Chronic Fatigue. Great Stuff!!
"The best health insurance there is!"2010-03-16 By MG I and my family have been using MMS for just over a year now, almost daily, sometimes at very high doses. It has eliminated my skin cancer, my mercury toxicity, my wife's extensive mercury toxicity, and her very serious chronic Candida issues. We have rid ourselves of several flu infections and multiple colds in hours. We've used it to disinfect injuries and burns. I've put it in spritzer bottles and inhaled it to clear bronchial issues for myself and others as well as spray it topically. We have not been sick one day since taking MMS! My health lately is the best it's been in 50 years!
We moved into an empty house that was severely infected with mold/mildew. It was obviously visible on most surfaces. The air was so bad everyone who entered remarked on the smell, started feeling sick and many began coughing. I sprayed MMS on every surface in the house (using a hand garden sprayer) twice and eliminated the mold! We've been living there in health for 4 months now. I have successfully given it to our cats for parasites (nothing else used except DE occasionally). I personally know numerous people who have been freed of cancer and numerous other ailments through MMS. I'm not a doctor (thank goodness) but I am a research professor. By my estimation, at least 85% of all illness is caused by pathogens. MMS kills pathogens, quickly, safely and cheaply!
Why does everyone want health insurance when hospitals are the most dangerous places on earth? Doctors are the 3rd leading cause of preventable death in the US. Doctors, pharmaceuticals and hospitals are THE leading cause of preventable death. Big Medicine cures almost NOTHING but causes massive numbers of deaths, injuries and illnesses. MMS is the closest thing to real health insurance we have today.
The article claiming death by MMS reads like a planted story to me. By my research and understanding of how it works, death by MMS is impossible. The vast numbers of successful uses, cures and healings prove otherwise. There is NO medical product that can claim any type of reasonable safety record.
Please get this stuff!
"Works great!"2010-03-13 By Julie A. Gengo (Cardiff by the Sea, CA) I started using this when I came down with a nasty cold and this product seemed to break it after one day. I now use it when I'm feeling run down and on the verge of catching something. It seems to be keeping my potential sickness at bay. I don't use it daily but close to it.
"hello sailor"2010-03-09 By frosty (chicago) The reviewer with the story of the dead sailors wife finds the MMS site laughable. I would counter that I am having a hard time not breaking up with laughter when I read about the departed Ms. Fink and her hubby (a veteran of the 04 Bru Ha Ha, whatever the heck that is) who had such a lovely time at the canoe races until they encountered the evils of MMS somewhere between Vanuatu and Bali Hai. I am taking MMS and I have not suffered any dire effects yet. Whether it solves the problem I have is yet to be seen.

"Brita Slim Pitcher"2010-04-01 By F. Herring Really like the pitcher...holds more water than my last pitcher. I like that I can take the "middle piece" out so that I can clean it.
"Very Disappointed"2010-03-28 By avid reader The little black granules that everyone talks about are definitely a problem for me. And we found something else swimming in the water. Our other bigger, Brita pitcher is better than the small one insofar as suspicious looking stuff floating around, but still. . . As someone else said, I bought it take the junk out of the water, not to put it in. Done with Brita.
"Brita Slim Pitcher"2010-03-27 By Duane Hogans (DES MOINES, IOWA, US) Does not seem to hold as much water as previous pitcher, but certainly fits better in refrigerator.
"question and problem"2010-03-25 By Kuo Yu Chieh (USA) I just got Brita 42629 Slim Pitcher today, when I put filter inside, and add water in , but terrible thing happened, the water came out is black color . Can you tell me why?
"Works fine for the office"2010-03-13 By K. Stewart Have used for a couple of months now. Stores nicely on the shelf in my office. No accidental spillage, no messes. Other reviewers have complained about the top falling off when tilting the pitcher to pour. I simply lay one finger on the top when pouring and that works fine. As long as you're not tilting the pitcher to some high angle, I don't think there should be a problem.
